NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
ORDERING AND PURCHASING OUR RUG WORKS AND SERVICES
The information, advertising and the ordering of our rug works and services detailed on our website, constitute an “invitation to treat” and is an “offer of sale” formed between the customer and Magic Hand Ltd.
By placing a booking or request for our works and services, the customer is making an 'offer', where the contract between the customer and Magic Hand Ltd will only be formed only if the order is accepted by us. Here, the customer will initially receive a confirmation of a booking of our rug works and services, via a receipt upon collection of piece(s), confirming their acceptance of our Conditions and Terms of Business and work rates and further confirmed with the pre-paid invoice given with the piece(s) being returned.
Customer orders may be accepted, deferred or declined at our sole discretion, at any stage of the works and services process for reasons deemed valid by us, where the rug(s) collection and return delivery service is still payable in advance of any piece(s) being returned by us.
To be eligible to purchase our services and to lawfully enter into and conclude any service contract under English law: you must be the holder of a valid credit or debit card and 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may use this site and book and use our services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
RECEIPTS, ESTIMATES & VAT COSTS
RECEIPTS: are our property and remain so, when given to customers upon collection of any rug(s), and where our standard rug cleaning prices for each rug type are detailed on the receipt per square meter (+ vat). Please note collection and return delivery services charges (C&RD) + vat are liable and costed individually for each order, depending on the post code, whether the C&RD is to the same address, and the size & quantity of rugs for works. A synopsis of our terms and conditions are also highlighted overleaf, where customers are notified this information is subject to change and periodically updated, and are therefore referred to our website for the most updated and full terms.
Please kindly note: receipts are issued when a customer contacts us and confirms the go-ahead for rug collection and works, when the order is placed either by phone, text or email. If a customer decides to defer or cancel the rug works go-ahead after a receipt has been issued to them and the rugs(s) have been collected from them by us (our third-party independent carriers/couriers are excluded), we will endeavour to return the piece(s) to the customer later that day, if we are contacted within two hours of the original collection time (subject to verification by us). Here, the orignal receipt (we do not accept copies or images of the original) will be collected from the customer by us FIRST (as the valid verification of 'anulled collection & return delivery charges and the subsequent cancellation of any proposed rug works' originally agreed with us) in exchange for the rug(s) being returned to the customer. If the customer contacts us later than within two hours of the original collection time on that day, the rug(s) will be returned on the next available date either by us or our third-party couriers, where the full C&RD charges will apply and will need to be paid in advance of any Return Delivery being booked and undertaken (please see our Collection & Return Delivery information below).
In both above instances, the return of rugs can ONLY take place if the receipt is returned to us first, so it is vital the customer does not loose or misplace this receipt, where its valid return to us ensures there is no misuse or abuse of our formerly agreed rug collection and works and services agreement, nor our company conditions and terms of business misconstrued.
ESTIMATES: initial estimates given for any works and services in writing are valid for 1 month from the date of issue, whereupon Magic Hand Ltd reserve the right to cancel and/or re-estimate the original costs, if no order for works is confirmed by the customer within the period stated.
Our company is VAT registered in England, no. 943 9339 89. VAT is applicable on all services and works provided by Magic Hand Ltd. We are not be obliged to offer any compensation or discount it as invalid from the actual amount payable, if the VAT amount is not initially listed on the receipt or where it is shown to be a differing amount on the receipt compared to the invoice - due to an unforeseen typographical/writing error, or where further agreed services have since been added to the invoice. The prices payable for our services are in pounds Sterling. All works and services are charged plus VAT. Export orders placed for our services, where VAT does not apply, will be re-calculated as such.
ADDITIONAL PURCHASE DUTIES AND TAXES
The return delivery of any piece(s) despatched and shipped to Europe and worldwide destinations after completed works at Magic Hand Ltd, usually arrive within 10-15 working days.
You are solely responsible and liable for observing and complying with any applicable regulations, legislations, custom duties, levies or additional taxes that may affect this item(s) or are payable at any foreign port as a result of either the collection or return delivery for the piece(s) to our Magic Hand Ltd Studios; or for any charges that are due in your country outside of the UK. You shall not be entitled for a refund or to cancel your collection, return delivery and service works order on the basis of any unforeseen duties or levies.
Certain national laws may prohibit the importation or exportation of pieces for service works and their collection and return delivery thereof, where we make no representation and accept no liability in respect of this. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all our liability to you for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) arising out of any problem relating to the collection or return delivery of pieces, before our after our services and/or completed works other than those listed in our rights to cancel the contract.
OUR RUG SERVICES & WORKS
All rugs, carpet and tapestry works booked for either our Cleaning, Stain Corrective Treatment Services or Repairs, Restoration & Alterations Services are brought to our custom-built Rug Studios. Except for the ‘sewing down of rug to carpet’ works, which are undertaken in-situ at the customer‘s premises.
All pieces booked for our rug services are collected and return delivered back to the customer, either by us or our third-party couriers on pre-arranged dates, after all works have been completed and the customers payment has been processed beforehand. Please note there are no facilities for our customers to collect or deliver piece(s) to our Rug Studios themselves.
Our professional anti-slip rug underlay, wall hang technique and written rug valuation bespoke services are all made-to-measure and cut-to-size for each individual rug, carpet or tapestry, when the order is placed with us, here at Magic Hand Ltd. Please note, therefore, these services are non-refundable and non-returnable, once the order has been booked, and/or is in progress, and/or is being undertaken, or purchased.
Please note in order for any of our works and services to be undertaken for piece(s) being collected, each individual piece has to measured and costed exactly for works. (For cleaning: the customer may or may not relay the exact size of their piece(s) and the correct yarn type(s) to receive an 'estimate' of costs for works (+ vat) at the initial booking stage.) This may also mean the exact costings for any individual piece(s) are not initially known at the collection stage and are therefore not listed on the receipt given to the customer, when the pieces are collected for works, although we do relay the general rug yarn type sizing and costings and the collection & return delivery costings (if all correct details are given at initial booking) on the receipt, as information and/or guidelines for the customer.
Upon arrival at the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios, all piece(s) exact specifications and correct costings for works are fully assessed, reviewed and check-calculated by us, for all our works and services being undertaken. We will then contact the customer and relay this information by text or email. For the cleaning costs we will only contact the customer if: stain/odour treatments are involved and need the customer's go-ahead consent (- not originally assessed or known at the booking stage); or if the piece(s) size and therefore work costs are vastly different from the original estimate given (- having originally based this estimate of costs using the customer's sizes and rug yarn type details given at the booking stage). Otherwise costs may only vary slightly on the invoice due for payment from the original estimate given to the customer.
Please also note: if the customer decides to cancel works before they have commenced, the full C&RD charges will still apply and will need to be paid in advance of any Return Delivery being booked and undertaken (please see our Cleaning Services and Collection & Return Delivery information below).
Items and materials needed to undertake our Repair, Restoration, Alteration, Cleaning, Stain Corrective Treatment, Collection and Return Delivery Services are subject to availability and the individual sourcing and undertaking thereof. While we endeavour to fulfil your individual specifications and requirements, lead times between service order placement, the sourcing of specific items needed and the collection and redelivery, are provided as guidelines only and are not contractually binding, should they differ from those originally stated.
Magic Hand Ltd is not be obliged to offer any compensation or discount, if the amount charged for our works and services is not listed in full on the receipt when the piece(s) is initially collected, when compared to the invoice payment due, as per the above point or due to an unforeseen typographical/writing error on the receipt, or where further agreed works and services have since been added to the original agreed works listing and subsequently added to the invoice, or further agreed return delivery addresses are added, or the original return delivery address and post code is changed or unknown at the receipt or collection point; or where the quantity of rugs has increased, or the size and/or yarn type vary/differ from spec orginally given by the customer at the booking stage, or where further customer agreed works and services have since been added to the invoice, or where an unauthorised removal service charge has to be added. We reserve the right to cancel the works and return the piece(s) to the customer on this basis, where Collection & Return Delivery Service Charges are still applicable.
RUG REPAIR, RESTORATION & ALTERATION WORKS PROCEEDURE
We relay the collection & return delivery (C&RD) service price (individually costed for post codes & rug size & quantity) to the customer for any pieces needing collection for the above works. The customer's name, address, contact mobile and/or email address are confirmed and a rug(s) collection date booked. A text/email is sent one day before collection, confirming a 1-2-hour rug collection time-slot. Upon collection of booked pieces(s) for works, a receipt is given to the customer, with a synopsis of our Conditions & Terms of Business overleaf. Collected pieces are taken to the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios, where Anas Rugman reviews and assesses the works requested. We then contact the customer, within 48 (working) hours of receiving the pieces at our Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios, to confirm the exact rug repair/restoration/alteration works and costs and C&RD costs, where the customer adds these details to their copy of the Magic Hand Ltd Receipt – given at collection. This works review is followed up with either a text or email confirmtion of costs to the customer.
MASTER RUG CRAFTSMAN REVIEW IN-SITU SERVICE
Customer appointments are booked in advance via a pre-paid call-out charge that is individually costed for the requested address. At the appointment, the pre-paid invoice is given to the customer and Anas Rugman will review and assess the in-situ rugs(s) needing our rug works and services. Here, Magic Hand Ltd 'Estimate' paperwork is given, listing any proposed works & costs and valid for one month from date of issue. During the appointment (only), if rug works are agreed and pieces taken for our rug cleaning and/or rug repairs, restoration, or alteration works or our Written Rug Valuation Service is required, the pre-paid call-out charge is deducted from the completed works Total to Pay, due at invoice stage. A Magic Hand Ltd 'Receipt' paperwork is then issued to the customer detailing these works & costs (excepting stain/odour treatments – see below) and the pieces taken to the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios.
The customer's go-ahead consent for our cleaning works service is automatically confirmed with the collection of the booked piece(s) by us or our third-party couriers.
RUG CLEANING SIZE: equals width x length (to include any fringes, as they are specifically treated during the cleaning process) = square metre size for every individual piece. The standard rug cleaning prices per square meter (psqm) for each rug yarn type are stated on the receipt as an indication of costs, where the individual rug's exact size and yarn type has yet to be reviewed and confirmed by us.
INDIVIDUAL RUG EXACT SIZE & COSTING: Please note in order for any of our works and services to be undertaken for piece(s) being collected, each individual piece has to measured and costed exactly for works. For cleaning works: the customer may or may not relay the exact size of their piece(s) and the correct yarn type(s) to receive an 'estimate' of costs for works (+ vat) at the initial booking stage. This may also mean the exact costings for any individual piece(s) are not initially known at the collection stage and are therefore not listed on the receipt given to the customer, when the pieces are collected for works, although we do relay the general rug yarn type sizing and costings and the collection & return delivery costings (if all correct details are given at initial booking) on the receipt, as information and/or guidelines for the customer.
RUG CLEANING WORKS AND COLLECTION BOOKING PROCEEDURE:
All collections require 3-4 days advance notice in order to book the next available date in our rug collection & return delivery service schedule. Upon contacting us, the customer supplies their name, address, contact mobile and/or email address details and confirms the quantity and sizes of piece(s) to be collected for any requested cleaning and stain/odour corrective treatment works. We relay the cleaning price per square metre: (width x length (including fringes) = psqm) for the rug yarn type, and the collection & return delivery (C&RD) price: (individually assessed using post code, rug size and rug quantity details) to the customer. Customer pieces for works are then booked in for the next available rug collection date in our rug collection & return delivery service schedule. A text/email is sent to the customer, one day before collection, confirming the 1 to 2-hour rug collection time-slot. Piece(s) are then collected on that date from the customer’s address. Please note: the customer's go-ahead consent for our cleaning works service is automatically confirmed with the collection of booked piece(s) by us. Upon collection of booked pieces(s) for works, a receipt is given to the customer by the courier, detailing our standard rug cleaning prices psqm per rug yarn type, with a synopsis of our Conditions & Terms of Business overleaf. Collected pieces are taken to the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios. The customer is then notified by text of their rug(s) confirmed square-metre size, yarn type and subsequent cleaning cost (if different from customer details given at initial booking stage), whether any stain/odour treatments need to be applied, the time duration for completion of works, and the C&RD service price, to add to their copy of the Magic Hand Ltd Receipt given at collection.
Upon arrival at the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios, all piece(s) are fully reviewed and always re-measured for the exact size specifications for the agreed cleaning works., so that the correct costings for works can be fully assessed, reviewed and check-calculated by us, for all works and services being undertaken. We will then contact the customer by text or email and relay the confirmed square-metre size, yarn type and subsequent cleaning costs: (we will only contact the customer further if: stain/odour treatments are involved and need the customer's go-ahead consent (- not originally assessed or known at the booking stage); or if the piece(s) size and therefore work costs are different from the original estimate given (- having based original estimate on the customer's quoted sizes and rug yarn type details given at the booking stage, which may differ from the actual details when reviewed by us for works), otherwise cleaning costs may only vary slightly on the invoice due for payment from the original estimate given to the customer), the time duration for completion of works, and the C&RD service price, to add to their copy of the Magic Hand Ltd Receipt given at collection.
Upon completion of any/all rug works undertaken at our Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios, the customer is contacted and payment is taken in advance of the return delivery, where a Magic Hand Ltd Invoice and debit or credit card payment receipt is attached to the pieces(s) to be returned. Confirmation of this processed payment guarantees a booked slot for the return delivery of piece(s). All pieces are carefully wrapped in our protective plastic tubing for return delivery.
The collection & return delivery service charge is liable and costed individually for each order depending on factors: the post code(s), whether the C&RD is to the same address, the size of piece(s), the quantity of piece(s) for works being confirmed at the booking for works and collection stage, which may or may not be quoted in full on the receipt that is given to the customer upon rug collection. VAT is applicable for these costs.
'TESTER' APPLICATIONS AND STAIN & ODOUR CORRECTIVE TREATMENTS
These individually applied works and costs can only be fully estimated, when the piece(s) arrive at our Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios for a full review and assessment of works. The customer is notified of this prior to the rug collection, where any stubborn rug stains will need these works applied in order to 'lift' them during the rug cleaning process.
'Tester Applications' may or may not be applied in the first instance to a piece, before any corrective treatments are actioned or any cleaning works undertaken, to assess the stain/odour penetration levels and their subsequent 'lifting' ability. The Tester works' duration are relayed to the customer and only proceed with the customer's consent, and are not obligatory.
Stain/Odour Corrective Treatments: are individually applied and then re-applied to stubborn stains and lingering odours to 'lift' them further, during the stages of the cleaning process, where any applied treatment may mean the piece(s) may take a little longer, before they are returned to you. The Stain/Odour Corrective Treatment works' duration and costs are relayed to the customer and only proceed with the customer's consent, and are not obligatory.
Once the piece(s) has been collected and then reviewed at the Magic Hand Ltd Rug Studios and, if we can further improve the piece(s) by applying a stain/odour corrective treatment, we will notify the customer of these treatment application costs (separate from the deep-wash cleaning costs) - in advance and BEFORE ANY cleaning or treatment works are undertaken on their piece(s) - where if we receive the go-ahead to proceed from the customer, the customer can add these stain/odour treatment costs to their receipt copy for the full cleaning payment due.
If the go-ahead of stain/odour corrective treatment works are confirmed by the customer and once the deep-wash rug cleaning process has begun, corrective treatments for stubborn stains and lingering odours are individually applied and then may be re-applied to help 'lift' them further during the cleaning process, if needed.
Applied stain and/or odour corrective treatments are NOT OBLIGATORY, should the customer choose not to go ahead. To ensure the corrective treatments are neither applied nor undertaken and these works not costed to the customer, the customer must contact us within the 48 hours of us originally contacting them with the stain/odour treatment works and costs and confirm this non-action by written confirmation via email or text only. If we do not receive an email or text (only) from the customer within the 48 hours stated, we will understand this non-reply as being: 'the customer's agreed confirmation for the go-ahead of all works & costs including the stain/odour treatment works & cost', where the customer is happy to proceed with the corrective treatment works being applied at the costs quoted, as part of the deep-wash cleaning process already confirmed.
DISCLAIMER: Please also note there is no guarantee that any long standing and/or pre-existing stubborn stains or odours such as red wine, flooding, mould, mildewed, damp or water damaged stains or other colour-fast stains such as ink, nail varnish, coffee, paint, colour run or dog/cat/baby urine/soilage can be completely removed either during the general deep-wash cleaning process or via applied corrective treatments, although they normally lighten and improve by varying degrees during the cleaning process and applied corrective treatment works.
RUG STORAGE SERVICE STIPULATIONS AND COSTS
Permission is sought by the customer for the storage of pieces after works have been completed of Magic Hand Ltd at the initial booking stage - in advance of any piece(s) being collected for works, as space is limited and subject to availability. We will then confirm availability and the storage service costs for the storage dates requested to the customer, where the customer's agreement to these terms will ensure a storage ‘reservation’ is booked and arranged for their piece(s) at our Rug Studios. The details and costs of which will be added to the invoice for rugs works and services and payable in advance. Please contact us for enquiries for the reservation of long-term storage and to recieve a quotation, depending on the value, size, quantity and storage duration of your piece(s).
RUG STORAGE SERVICE CHARGE (RSSC): will be automatically incurred and charged at £15 per week for the following reasons:
(1) where no authorised or confirmed storage reservation was originally sought by the customer and arranged with us (as per the above details).
(2) 14 days from the date the customer was originallly notified by us via phone/email/text that their piece(s) are ready for return delivery, where we have neither received any reply from the customer, and/or where the customer has made no arrangements to pay the invoice and agreed a return delivery date with us.
(3) after a collection has been made: where the customer has neither confirmed the go-ahead of stain/odour/repairs/restoration/alteration/hanging technique or other works requested, or where the customer has notified us to cancel works to be undertaken, but not arranged nor paid for the return delivery of pieces subsequently being held by us.
The applied RSSC is either added to the invoice total for works or as a separate invoice and payable in advance of any return delivery of piece(s).
6-MONTH STORAGE DISPOSAL STIPULATION: Piece(s) that have been stored by us for six months: where we have notified the customer by us via phone/email/text that piece(s) are ready for return delivery and have received no reply/contact from them; and/or the customer has not confirmed the go-ahead of works requested; and/or completed works and services have not been paid for nor cancelled beforehand; and/or the customer has notified us to cancel the works to be undertaken but not arranged nor paid the C&RD/invoice in full for the return delivery of pieces; and/or completed works and services have been paid for, but the customer has not confirmed arrangements for return delivery; and/or where no prior written agreement with us is in place for the storage of piece(s) that has subsequently incurred a storage charge. All will therefore automatically render the piece(s) become the property of Magic Hand Ltd and may subsequently be disposed of, where there will be no reimbursement for previous work and services paid, subject to any condition.
REMOTE PAYMENT FOR WORKS AND SERVICES
Payment for the total price of works and services inclusive of the collection and return delivery is paid in full and in advance of any return delivery. All orders are processed approximately 2-3 days in advance of any pre-booked return delivery service, via a phone call from Magic Hand Ltd. We accept all debit and credit cards (except for Dinners Club and American Express).
Payment is processed in full for the total price of the works and services, (plus any storage charge and/or any additional purchase duties/taxes etc due). Once your payment has been ‘authorised’ and processed, your debit or credit card payment receipt for the transaction will be attached to your paid invoice(s) and enclosed with the piece(s) being return delivered. Confirmation of this processed payment guarantees a booked slot for the return delivery of item(s).
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
All debit and credit card payments are processed directly using a verified, secure and reputable third party.
CUSTOMER'S THIRD-PARTY REPRESENTATIVES
We are neither obliged to accept terms, liaise, agree, nor be held responsible for any arrangements customers make with any third-party representatives concerning the collection, return delivery or confirmation of works go-ahead for their pieces and this third-party interaction/liaison/involvement with us on the customer's behalf. Nor will we be made liable or at fault should pieces get lost, stolen or misrepresented due to any third-party involvement/arrangement/transaction the customer organises with them and us.
COLLECTION & RETURN DELIVERY SERVICE
These service costs are automatically applicable and due for payment, whenever piece(s) are collected and/or return delivered by Magic Hand Ltd or our third-party couriers, plus VAT. These service costs are listed on the invoice as part of the total due for payment, if not initially listed on the receipt.
Magic Hand Ltd is not be obliged to offer any compensation or discount, if the amount charged for these services is not listed in full on the receipt given to the customer when the piece(s) is collected, and/or when compared to the invoice Total To Pay, due to an unforeseen typographical/writing error on the receipt, or where further agreed return delivery addresses are added, or the original return delivery address and post code is changed or unknown at the receipt/collection point; or where the quantity of rugs increases; or where further works and services have since been added to the original invoice, or where an unauthorised removal service charge has to be added (see below).
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: a time slot is confirmed on a specific date for either a collection or return delivery of a specified quantity of pieces from an address, which is agreed with the customer. If the customer is not at the address at the agreed time slot for either the collection or return delivery of pieces, we and our couriers cannot be held responsible for either the non-collection or the non-return delivery of pieces. It is the customer's responsibility to contact us to re-book a new agreed collection/return delivery date and time slot, and where Magic Hand Ltd is not be obliged to offer any compensation or discount.
We have no liability for collection or return delivery of any piece(s) to the customer or on a customer’s behalf, if the invoice payment is not paid in full in advance and/or Magic Hand Ltd deems there is no prior collection or return delivery arrangement in place, and/or where you have not been charged for this service.
CUSTOMER RUG COLLECTION PREPARATION: Customers are responsible for informing Magic Hand Ltd of the number of piece(s) for works the estimated size of each piece, and the subsequent collection and return delivery address arrangements and to discuss any cleaning and/or repairs, restoration, alteration works and charges, prior to any collection being made.
Customers are responsible for preparing the piece(s) as rolled and making ready the booked piece(s) for and in advance of the collection booking time, prior to any collection by our courier(s) or third parties, where we will advise the customer on any other option of rug preparation for collection in advance, if necessary.
RUG RETURN DELIVERY DROP OFF: our courier(s) or third parties are instructed by us to drop off (ONLY) the booked return delivered piece(s) to the customer, where pieces are are either rolled or folded and secured in a protective plastic tubing, with the paid invoice wrapped around the/one of the piece(s), unless otherwise arranged and agreed with us.
*REMOVAL SERVICE BOOKING & CHARGE: Please note our company policy for health and safety reasons does not permit us to undertake any unscheduled actions to move, lift or carry furniture or fittings, nor extract, nor fit collected/return delivered piece(s) for the customer, unless we and the customer have agreed this undertaking in writing, in advance and prior to any collection and/or return delivery being made. Here, each removal undertaking is individually assessed, where the disruption to our C&RD works schedule, the time and effort involved and the manpower required for this undertaking will be calculated and costed by us. This removal charge will then form part of the Total to Pay at invoice stage and is payable in full, in advance and prior to any return delivery being booked for piece(s).
NON-ARRANGED REMOVAL UNDERTAKEN AT COLLECTION: if a rug collection is being made and the customer instructs our courier(s) in removal undertakings in order to extract a rug during the collection process, where no undertaking has either been previously arranged and/or agreed with us, nor confirmed in advance, when the collection booking was made, in writting by us with the customer, or with our driver and us. In this instance, our driver will contact and discuss the factors involved with us first, before any such action is undertaken for the customer. If the details of the removal of items to extract a rug are agreed and we have confirmed the go-ahead of this action being undertaken by our courier(s) for the customer, a charge will then be made for this service. The cutomer (or their third-party representative) will be informed of this charge, which is automatically liable, as part of the works and services we have undertaken for that customer (see above stipulations*).
NON-ARRANGED REMOVAL AT RETURN DELIVERY: if a rug return delivery is being made and the customer instructs our courier(s) or third parties in the above removal undertakings in order to unroll and place a rug (and/or rug underlay) during the return delivery process, where no undertaking has either been previously arranged and/or agreed with us, nor confirmed in advance, when the return delivery booking was made, in writting with the customer and us, nor with our courier(s) and us. In this instance, our courier(s) will decline, as this service is chargeable and has to be pre-arranged and prepaid (at Invoice stage) before any action can take place. Please do not assume any removal and/or placing of items is automatically included in the return delivery of any piece(s), nor request this action of our courier(s) or third-parties on-site, as we are not a removal company and refusal may offend.
Magic Hand Ltd uses third-party, independent carriers to collect and return deliver customer piece(s). If third-party couriers are used, we are unable to give you a time-slot for either the collection or return delivery of piece(s) other than confirming the go-ahead for the service, as this is based on the courier company's individual work schedules and Terms of Business, and therefore out of our jurisdiction and/or authority.
While we endeavour to ensure that all pieces are collected and/or return delivered within 7-14 working days (UK only) either after the initial booking for our works and services or for dispatch from our Studio premises after completed works and services, (exceptions being the Christmas ‘rush’ period, weekends and national bank holidays), we do not accept any liability whatsoever or offer any additional compensation if the items are not collected or received from/by the customer within this estimated time frame. We shall have no liability to you for delayed delivery or for any failure to return deliver pieces or for any damage or defect to piece(s) being collected or return delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control or by any third party including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosions or accidents.
CUSTOMER REQUIRED DETAILS FOR COLLECTION & RETURN DELIVERY
It is the customer’s responsibility to relay the correct collection/return delivery address details including post code(s), mobile/landline contact number(s) and email details, plus any forthcoming change of address(es) to Magic Hand Ltd during the initial phone booking, prior to any collection being made, so that the correct Collection and Return Delivery charge can be calculated and given. If the customer's details change at a later stage of the process, the Collection & Return Delivery Service charge will be recalculated to reflect this.
PLEASE NOTE: a time slot is confirmed on a specific date for either a collection or return delivery of a specified quantity of pieces from an address, which is agreed with the customer. If the customer is not at the address at the agreed time slot for either the collection or return delivery of pieces, we and our couriers cannot be held responsible for either the non-collection or the non-return delivery of pieces. It is the customer's responsibility to contact us to re-book a new agreed collection/return delivery date and time slot.
INCORRECT OR INVALID ADDRESS: where the return delivery of piece(s) is made to an incorrect/invalid address, without prior notification from the customer, piece(s) will be returned to and stored at Magic Hand Ltd’s Rug Studios. Once the correct/new address details are received and a new return delivery date confirmed, a further return delivery charge is automatically applicable, as may a Rug Storage Service Charge (see Storage details above). Redelivery to the customer’s new/change of address is made once this further return delivery payment has been processed, where a further invoice and debit/credit payment receipt are attached to the piece(s).
INCORRECT OR NON RECEIPT OF MOBILE PHONE DETAILS:
if incorrect or not supplied by the customer, the rug will be held and stored at Magic Hand Ltd’s Studios, until such time the customer can be contacted by alternative means. A Rug Storage Service Charge (see Storage details above) may be applicable, as may any interest accrued from the date of the invoice due for payment (charged at 3.5% on total payment per week or 0.5% per day), and payable in advance of any return delivery/release of the piece(s) being held and stored.
Piece(s) not return delivered after 6 months from the date the client has been notified by us via phone/email/text that they their piece(s) are ready for return delivery and/or without prior agreement, will automatically become the property of Magic Hand Ltd and may be disposed of.
OUR TRADE AND RUG RETAIL CLIENTS:
Please contact us for further information and booking availability for our cleaning, stain & odour corrective treatments and/or our repairs, restoration and alteration services and requirements.
Magic Hand Ltd’s Written Valuation Service is not applicable in this instance.

We will not be obliged to continue offering our services or any compensation for disappointment suffered, or incur any expenses or claimed costs by the customer, if we cancel your booking for any of these reasons.

If the customer knows the rug(s) sizes (to include any fringes - see above rug cleaning works proceedure) and the rug yarn type, we can text/email an estimate for cleaning works. Once collected, these pieces are remeasured and reviewed for agreed cleaning works and the customer is notified by text of their rug(s) confirmed square-metre size, yarn type and cleaning cost, plus whether any stain/odour treatments need to be applied, the time duration for completion of works and the C&RD service price, to add to their copy of the Magic Hand Ltd Receipt given at collection.
We reserve the right to cancel any works and return the piece(s) to the customer, if the requested confirmation go-ahead is not received from the customer within the 48-hour time limit stated, by written confirmation via email or text only, where the Collection and Return Delivery Service costs and terms are still applicable.
Your Right to Cancel:
Customer’s consent to go ahead for our rug, carpet and tapestry general deep-wash cleaning service is automatically confirmed at the pre-booking and the actual collection of piece(s) for works, whether or not this is verbally confirmed at point of collection by the couriers or detailed on our receipt given to the customer upon collection. Customer cancellation for this service is only valid if received in writing via text or email and within 24 hours of the pieces being collected. The collection and return delivery service charge (+ vat) will still apply and must be paid for in advance of any return delivery - see above payment and collection and return delivery terms.
Initial estimates given for works and services in writing are valid up to one month from the date of issue, whereupon Magic Hand Ltd reserve the right to cancel/re-estimate costs, if originally estimates for works are not actioned within that period, by the customer.
DAMAGED IN TRANSIT BY RETURN DELIVERY
All customer pieces intended for return delivery are carefully and securely packaged here at Magic Hand Ltd, before being despatched.
If in the unlikely event your piece(s) is return delivered to you ‘damaged in transit’, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt of delivery. You need to ensure this point is noted or written on the courier’s delivery acceptance note or when you sign receipt for the package - then request a printed copy of this action for your records, with a reference number. We are unable to pursue any claims against the courier if the delivery is accepted by you ‘unchecked’, which automatically confirms the delivery was received by you in 'good condition’ and may result in any right to a refund from them being waived.
